Pre Puppy Consultation
The Aim of this consultation is to set yourself up for success before your new k9 friend has even arrived making the process as enjoyable and stress free as possible for both of you. This consultation will take place in your home and will focus on preparing and planning for what will come, preventing problems from occurring. Advice on what to prepare in your home and how to best set up a safe environment for your new dog. Along with what to start training your dog from day one and how to teach it. And of course to answer any questions you may have!

Puppy Power Consultation (unvaccinated pups)
It is unsafe for pups to attend socialisation classes until their complete vaccination course has been administered by the vet. So before enrolling in dublindogcare's puppy socialisation class you can book the puppy power consultation for unvaccinated pups. It is never too early to start training your pup, and you should begin the moment your new best friend arrives. This consultation takes place in the safe environment of your own home and the whole family is encouraged to attend.

Puppy Training & Socialisation Class

Class Requirement: For pups up to 18 weeks old on enrollment. Must be fully Vaccinated

This is a 4 week course, 1 hour per week, with maximum of 8 pups per class located in North Dublin area. This course will educate owners on how to train, care for, and rear their new pet.

Puppy play sessions are essential for pups to build confidence and learn how to interact appropriately with other dogs. Lack of socialisation is the most common reason for aggression in adult dogs.

During this course you will learn information on:
- The developmental stages of dogs, in particular the socailisation period.
- Specific Breed traits and information
- An Introduction to training, appropriate techniques and equipment. How to avoid problem behaviours developing.
- Feeding, Health Checks, Grooming
- Vaccinations, Flea and worm treatment and Prevention
- Neutering, Microchip identification, pet insurance
- Legal requirements as a dog owner

Class availability is dependent on numbers, please book in advance!

Dog Training Consultation
This consultation is designed to teach you how to teach your dog the behaviours you want him/her to know. This consultation generally lasts 1.5 - 2hrs and its main focus is to give you the tools needed to establish or improve your dogs obedience. Typical topics covered include basic obedience, sits, stays, focus, loose lead walking, reliable recalls to name a few.

Other Dog Training Classes for older dogs will be on offer in the future so please stay in touch!

You will be given a document detailing all the information covered during all consultations / classes along with any training plans / schedules were appropriate.
